One of the classes I took while pursuing my MFA at TX State was Experimental Book Making. For this assignment, we were asked to choose any speech from history, and show it in book-form. I chose the famous speech from Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator". Using photomontage and my own hand rendered brush-stroke type, I created a screw-post bound book of tear out stickers/postcards. The idea being that the user could disseminate them to enact positive change. The title page is a fold out poster and each page features an excerpt from the speech and an accompanying image.
